The Nash sits inside the Amber Fields corridor, one of the most active new-development areas in Dakota County. Some of the best amenities in Rosemount are close enough to reach on foot or in under five minutes by car.

Just up Akron Avenue at Connemara Trail, Life Time Rosemount is a 92,000-square-foot athletic country club built through a partnership between Life Time and the City of Rosemount. Residents have quick access to an expansive fitness floor, six studios for yoga, Pilates, barre and cycle, indoor and outdoor pools, pickleball and basketball courts, sauna and steam recovery spaces, a LifeCafe and a LifeSpa. It opened in December 2024 and is roughly a two-minute drive from The Nash — one of the shortest commutes to a full athletic club you will find anywhere in the south metro.
A neighborhood bakery and coffee house on Abbeyfield Avenue, roughly half a mile north of The Nash. Sweet Kneads opens at 6:00 a.m. on weekdays with espresso drinks, breakfast sandwiches, scones, donuts, cakes and fresh bread, and it has a drive-through for mornings when you are already running late. Closed Sundays.
Open 24 hours with fuel, a car wash, hot food, and the everyday grocery basics — milk, eggs, bread, coffee — when you do not want to make a full grocery run. It is the closest convenience stop to the community and a genuine perk on a Minnesota winter morning.
A newer neighborhood park north of the community with a standout playground, including a kid-sized zip line, climbing structures, swings, a basketball court, a ball field and open green space. The Nash is part of the Amber Fields master-planned area southwest of Akron Avenue and County Road 42, built on former UMore Park land next to Dakota County Technical College. The plan includes roughly four and a half miles of local paths and trails linked to a central park with a nature playground, sundial garden, ponds and preserved wetlands. A future regional trail east of Akron Avenue is planned to connect north toward Lebanon Hills and south toward the Vermillion Highlands.
Where to Eat and Drink Near The Nash

Rosemount punches above its weight when it comes to food. Within a ten-minute drive you can find Sri Lankan curry, Lebanon-style shawarma, hand-tossed brewery pizza, sushi, and a burger that people drive in from three counties to order.

Craft beer, house wine and wood-fired pizza on Biscayne Avenue, with a large patio and a dog-friendly outdoor space. OMNI opens early on weekends and regularly hosts markets, live music and private events, making it one of the easiest weekend plans in town.
A Rosemount sit-down standby on 150th Street West serving breakfast, gourmet burgers, house-made wings, pizza and craft cocktails, plus a patio in the warmer months. Fireside is a reliable pick for family dinners, date nights and out-of-town guests.
Family-run Sri Lankan cooking on 150th Street West, known for chili shrimp, biryani, hoppers and generous curry plates. One of the highest-rated restaurants in Rosemount and worth the short drive.
Vietnamese comfort food a few doors down from House of Curry, with pho, banh mi, vermicelli bowls and egg rolls at approachable prices. A local favorite for takeout on a cold night.
A fast-casual Lebanese spot on South Robert Trail run by the family behind the longtime Robert Street original. Gyros, shawarma plates, falafel, hummus, grape leaves and rice pilaf, all made to order.
Two neighborhood institutions on the west side of Rosemount. Fuji Sushi on Claret Avenue is consistently rated among the best sushi in the south metro, with lunch specials and easy online ordering. Las Tortillas on Crestone Avenue serves scratch-made Mexican with big portions, strong margaritas and an outdoor setup in summer.
Two downtown Rosemount mainstays on South Robert Trail. Carbone's is the local pizza-and-a-pitcher spot with a small arcade, pull tabs and regular events. The Clover serves elevated pub fare — cheese curds, wings, roast beef, sunfish — with a patio that fills up fast on summer evenings.
An unassuming roadside bar southeast of the community on Clayton Avenue with a reputation for burgers, broasted chicken and ribs at prices that have not caught up to the rest of the metro. Worth the drive at least once.
A farm-set brewery on Bacardi Avenue north of town, reached by a gravel road and known for one of the better sunset patios in the Twin Cities. Rotating taps, a short food menu and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Beyond Sweet Kneads, the west side of Rosemount has Caribou Coffee on 150th Street West with a drive-through, and Malekú Coffee on Crestone Avenue, a small Costa Rican roaster serving single-origin coffee and breakfast empanadas Thursday through Sunday. Expect a line at Malekú on weekend mornings.
Groceries and Everyday Errands

Everyday shopping is a short drive west along County Road 42. Between full-service supermarkets, a discount grocer, a butcher shop and a 24-hour convenience store within half a mile, restocking the kitchen is straightforward.

Open 24 hours on 150th Street West with a full-service bakery, deli, butcher counter, floral department, pharmacy and a broad international aisle. The largest single grocery stop near The Nash.
On South Robert Trail near the County Road 42 intersection. The go-to for a fast, low-cost weekly shop, with strong produce, bakery and pantry staples.
A Claret Avenue butcher shop for specialty cuts, brats, marinated meats, stuffed peppers and prepared meals. Handy for anyone planning to use the community grilling stations by the pool.
For a bigger run, Hy-Vee on Pilot Knob Road in Lakeville and Target on Pilot Knob Road in Apple Valley are each roughly a thirteen-minute drive. A second Target sits on Cedar Avenue in Apple Valley.

Shopping and Local Boutiques

Downtown Rosemount has quietly built one of the better small-boutique districts in Dakota County, and full-scale retail is a short drive north or west.

A Bushel and A Peck on South Robert Trail pairs a curated women's clothing and gift boutique with an attached soda shop. Style Niche Boutique on 146th Street West and Thread and Clover on Claret Avenue round out the local shopping scene with clothing, jewelry, accessories and gift options you will not find at a chain.
The everyday retail center on 150th Street West, anchoring a cluster of restaurants, services, quick-service dining and small shops near the County Road 42 corridor.
An open-air outlet center in Eagan roughly eighteen minutes north, with more than one hundred stores and a food court. The closest destination shopping to The Nash outside of Mall of America.
About twenty minutes north in Bloomington by way of Highway 52 and Interstate 494. Hundreds of stores, dozens of restaurants, an indoor theme park, an aquarium and a cinema, plus light rail service into downtown Minneapolis from the transit station.
Entertainment and Things to Do

Movie nights, live performance, taprooms and family outings are all close. Most of what follows is inside a fifteen-minute radius.

A well-kept neighborhood theater on Carrousel Way with reclining seats, reserved seating, full concessions and discount showings midweek. Roughly eight minutes from home.
The Steeple Center is a restored historic church on South Robert Trail now used for concerts, theater, art shows and community events. Next door, the Robert Trail Library serves as a community hub with meeting rooms, a large children's area and a driver's license center.
About fifteen minutes west in Apple Valley. Large naturalistic habitats, the elevated Treetop Trail, seasonal programming and a membership option that makes it an easy repeat weekend outing.

Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings sits about eight miles east on 145th Street. Valleywood Golf Course in Apple Valley and Southern Hills Golf Course in Farmington are each roughly a fifteen-minute drive.
Parks, Trails and the Outdoors

Dakota County maintains one of the strongest park systems in Minnesota, and The Nash sits near the center of it. Between city parks, regional parks and off-leash acreage, there is a lot of ground to cover.

A Dakota County regional park south of the community with a paved 2.2-mile loop around Empire Lake, boardwalks, a nature play area, a sledding hill in winter and camper cabins available to reserve. Nine minutes from your door.
Two thousand acres of woods, lakes and trails in Eagan, with hiking, mountain biking, paddling, a swimming beach, a visitor center and cross-country ski trails in winter. Twelve minutes north.
A fenced, wooded off-leash park on Blaine Avenue with open running fields, shaded wood-chip trails, a rinse station and a separate area for small dogs. A Dakota County permit is required, with daily passes available. See our Pet-Friendly Community page for more.
Ailesbury Park is closest at just over half a mile. Meadows Park on Azalea Avenue adds trails, a soccer field, sand volleyball and a well-regarded toddler playground. Central Park downtown has the splash pad, amphitheater, veterans memorial and a walking loop. Camfield, Claret and Winds Parks fill in ball fields, tennis courts and additional playgrounds across town.
Schools and Campus Life

Rosemount is served by one of the largest and highest-performing districts in the state, and a technical college campus sits less than a mile from the community.

DCTC is a three-minute drive east on 145th Street, offering associate degrees, diplomas and certificates across trades, technology, business and health programs. The proximity makes The Nash a practical option for students, faculty and staff.
The community is served by Rosemount–Apple Valley–Eagan Public Schools. Students in this area are generally zoned for Rosemount Elementary, Shannon Park Elementary and Emerald Trail Elementary for grades K–5, Rosemount Middle School for grades 6–8, and Rosemount High School for grades 9–12. Boundaries can change, so confirm current assignments with the district.
Commuting From The Nash

Highway 52, County Road 42 and Akron Avenue put the south metro's largest employers and both downtowns within easy reach, and a park-and-ride station is six minutes away.

Downtown Saint Paul is roughly nineteen miles north, about twenty-five minutes via Highway 52. Downtown Minneapolis is roughly twenty-four miles, about thirty minutes depending on your route and the time of day.
About twenty-two minutes north via Highway 52 and Interstate 494 — an easy trip for frequent travelers and out-of-town guests.
The Rosemount Transit Station offers park-and-ride parking with local and express bus service, including routes to downtown Minneapolis, downtown Saint Paul, Apple Valley and Dakota County Technical College.
The Meta data center under development in the UMore area, the Flint Hills Resources Pine Bend Refinery, Independent School District 196 and Dakota County Technical College are all significant local employers, with FedEx and CVS Health operations across the wider south metro.
